Initiatives and Events
In November 2004, IAIC held a conference at Israel’s Parliament on the subject of “Transparency of the State Budget in regard to Immigrant Children and Youth”.

In 2004 IAIC initiated a unique training course for educational advisors at Bar Ilan University, which was designed especially for new immigrants. At the conclusion of the program, 25 immigrants from the Soviet Union and from Ethiopia achieved Master’s Degrees in educational counseling, and were consequently integrated into the educational system. They are currently working in schools throughout Israel, and making a significant contribution towards the well being of immigrant children.
In 2005, IAIC held a conference in cooperation with Bar Ilan University on “The Absorption of Immigrant Students in the Educational System”. Key lecturers were: Dr. Abigail Yinon (School of Education, University of Bar Ilan), Mrs. Paulina Tselnik (sociologist), Mrs. Natasha Muzgovia (journalist), and Mrs. Shula Molla (educator).
In 2007, IAIC initiated several evening conferences that touched on assorted issues related to IAIC’ activities. The conferences were held in cooperation with the Association of Russian-speaking journalists.
