International Program - Euromed

IAIC is the only immigrant organization that actively participates in the international Euromed program, which is sponsored by the European Union. The program’s goals are to promote tolerance, co-existence, and other universal values, throughout European countries and the Middle East. The program has been active since the year 2000.

Activities that take place within the framework of this program include youth exchanges between the assorted countries, and seminars and events that include a variety of subjects, for youth workers and youth counselors. In Israel, the program is run under the auspices of the Ministry of Education.

IAIC hosted two seminars within the framework of the Euromed program, which highlighted subjects such as emigration, acceptance of differences, multi-culturalism, and tolerance. The first seminar took place in Jerusalem during April 2008, and was attended by participants from Estonia, Rumania, Jordan and Israel. The second seminar took place in Tel Aviv during June 2008, with the participation of youth workers from many different countries.

In addition, IAIC’s staff participate in conferences abroad, and to date have attended conferences in Jordan, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Latvia.
